This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) is formulated by the operator of 【FindGuard】 (the “App”) (hereinafter “we”, “us” or “the Operator”) to explain how we collect, use, store, share and protect your personal information. This Policy constitutes an integral part of the User Service Agreement. By downloading, installing or using the App, you are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to all terms of this Policy.
This Policy applies to all services we provide to you through the App, including device finding, location sharing, AI photo-based locating, and other related features.
This Policy does not apply to services provided by third-party service providers, nor does it apply to personal information you provide directly to third parties when using their services.
We follow the principle of data minimization and only collect personal information that is necessary to provide the services.
When you sign in to the App with your Apple ID, we only obtain the account identifier information authorized by Apple for the purpose of identifying your identity and associating your Apple devices. We do not store your Apple ID account password or other sensitive credentials. Your Apple account security is the responsibility of Apple and you.
To ensure normal operation and feature compatibility, we automatically collect device-related information, including: device model, iOS version, device identifiers and network status. Such information is used only to optimize app performance and troubleshoot issues and will not be used to identify your personal identity.
Location information: If you enable location permissions, we will collect your real-time or historical location information to support device finding, location sharing and AI photo-based locating features. Location accuracy may be affected by device hardware, network conditions and system permissions.
Bluetooth scanning information: If you enable Bluetooth permissions, we will scan nearby devices’ visible identifiers to implement short-range finding and offline finding features. During scanning we do not collect other devices’ private information.
Location data in photo metadata: If you grant camera and photo permissions, we will read only the location information contained in the metadata (e.g., EXIF) of photos you take for the AI photo-based locating feature; we will not store the original photo content.
When you use the location sharing feature, we collect information such as usage records of matching codes and the timestamps of establishing or terminating sharing relationships to maintain the normal operation of the location sharing service.
(5)Subscription-Related Information
When you purchase paid subscription services for this application through the Apple App Store, we only obtain information authorized by Apple, such as your subscription status, unique order identifier, and subscription validity period. This information is used solely to verify your subscription rights and provide you with the corresponding premium services.
We do not collect any sensitive payment information, including your Apple ID password, bank card number, or transaction amount. All data related to subscription payments is independently managed by the Apple App Store, and the security of payments is the responsibility of Apple Inc. and you.
We use the collected information only for the purposes below and will not use it for other purposes without your explicit consent:
To provide you with core services such as device tracking, location sharing, AI-assisted photo positioning, and the corresponding paid subscription-based premium services;
To optimize app performance, fix bugs and improve your user experience;
To comply with laws and regulations or to respond to lawful requests from judicial or administrative authorities;
To protect the legal rights and interests of you, us or third parties and to prevent fraud and other security risks.
We do not use your location information or personal information for targeted advertising.
We strictly protect your personal information and will not sell or rent any of your personal information. We may share or disclose your information only in the limited situations below:
If you establish a location sharing relationship with a friend via a matching code, we will share your location with the friend you designate; the sharing scope and duration are determined by you.
When required by laws, regulations or by a judicial/administrative authority’s lawful order, we may disclose your relevant information, and we will seek to protect your privacy to the extent permitted.
In emergencies, to protect the personal safety or property of you, us or other users, we may disclose relevant information as necessary.
You have the following rights regarding your personal information, and we will provide convenient mechanisms for you to exercise them:
You may enable or revoke permissions (e.g., location, Bluetooth, camera, photos) at any time in your device settings. After revocation, we will immediately stop collecting the corresponding information and this will not affect your use of non-related features.
You may view your sharing relationship information within the App.
You may terminate location sharing with a friend at any time; you may also unlink your Apple ID from the App. Upon account deletion/unlinking, we will delete or anonymize your personal information, except where otherwise required by law.
We store your personal information only for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. When the retention period expires, data will be deleted or anonymized. Examples:
Location information: Temporarily stored while you are using the relevant feature and automatically cleared after you exit the function.
Sharing relationship information: Stored for the duration of the sharing relationship and automatically deleted after you terminate the sharing.
Device and system information: Stored while you use the App and automatically deleted after you uninstall the App.
Subscription-Related Information: Such information will be stored only during the valid period of your subscription and for a reasonable period necessary to provide the service. Once the subscription expires and is not renewed, the information will be automatically deleted or anonymized. If you unlink your Apple ID from this application, the related subscription information will be deleted accordingly.
We adopt industry-standard technical and managerial measures to protect your personal information from leakage, alteration or loss: encrypting sensitive data in storage, restricting access rights and permitting access only to authorized personnel; conducting regular security testing and patching vulnerabilities; maintaining a data security incident response plan and promptly handling and notifying users in case of security incidents.
The internet is not absolutely secure. Although we adopt the measures described above, we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmission and storage. You should keep your Apple ID and matching codes safe to avoid disclosure.
The App may contain links to or interfaces with third-party services (see the attached Third-Party SDK list for details). The privacy policies of those third parties are set by them and we are not responsible for third-party privacy practices. When you use third-party services, you should read their privacy policies carefully.
We may revise this Policy in response to changes in laws, service functions or other reasons. The revised Policy will be communicated to you via in-App announcements, popup notifications or other means, and will take effect on the date stated in the announcement. If you continue to use the App after the revised Policy takes effect, you will be deemed to have accepted the updated Policy; if you do not agree, you should immediately stop using the App.
Any dispute arising from this Policy should first be resolved through friendly consultation; if consultation fails, either party may submit the dispute to the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission for arbitration.
